It is a disgrace that an award was offered and received on Sept. 14 to two Mooresville police investigators who were responsible in part for the conviction of Misty Witherspoon - an innocent young mother sentenced to life in prison without parole, whose children pray and cry for their mother every night, whose children are forced to take a 2 2/1 hour ride every other Saturday to see their momma and don't understand why she can't come home.
Misty's not in prison because she's guilty of first-degree murder in teh death of her husband, Quinn. She's there because of her statesment change and the fact taht Quinn was a police officer. Misty was not tried for killing her husband, she was tried for killing a police officer.
I can't believe the system would reward such a detrimental outcome. Is this an attempt by the system to convince themselves and others that justice was served?
My brother would be ashamed of the judicial system he loved so and chose to protect with his very life. And if you believe that Quinn is at peace, then you didn't know Quinn at all!
Quinn was a man of principles, even if it meant standing alone, but Quinn doesn't have to stand alone. He is the driving force behind me! He wants justice and we're here and fighting for him, the truth and Misty!

Misty is behind bars because she killed a human being. Sabrina, if you had an understanding of the elements of first degree murder, you would not have made such a STUPID statement of Misty being convicted because Quinn was police officer. Get some knowledge.

It seems to me, Sabrina, that YOU are the one who didn't know Quinn. The system he loved is the very system that gave him the peace he so richly deserved. YOU are the one who continues to perpetuate this ridiculousness. His killer was convicted, you need to move on and let Quinn rest. YOU are the one that isn't giving him(or his children) peace.
Why is it a disgrace?? These detectives did their job and did it well. They got a murderer off of the streets and were rewarded for it. Now leave them alone. You're never going to quit, are you? Misty is where she belongs, you stirring the pot every month or so isn't helping your cause one bit. You're just turning more people against you. Let it rest.
The police deserved the award they got. They saw that justice was served and that a murderer was sent to prison. I'm sorry as I can be that the children have to live a life without their mother and their father but that decision was made by Misty, not by the police, the court, the attorneys or the jury. These people were all asked by us the publiic to do their job and they did it and did it well. They should get credit for that. Misty gets credit for killing the children's father. She gets credit for them not having a mother and she even gets credit for the long drive they make to see her. She had choices. She could have solved her problems without killing her husband and her children's father. She made the choice instead to shoot him in the head while he was sleeping, and in doing so, showed herself to be the coward that she is. What amazes me most is that you still believe her. How many times has she lied to you in the past? How often did she lie to Quinn by letting him think she was paying the bills. How many times Sabrina? How many is enough for you? When are you finally going to see the truth? You're just a sad person and I really pity you and the whole family. I am shocked at the way you are attacking the police and anyone else that doesn't agree with your illusion that Misty is innocent. You're making a fool of yourself Sabrina and you're hurting the children. Do you not know that everytime you do something like this, the children hear about it? You can't just keep letting them think that Misty's coming home. She's not!! Telling the children that she is, is just cruel. They need to get professional help in dealing with the lose of their parents. They don't need to learn false hope from you. What ever happened to celebrating someone's life and letting the family grieve...The Witherspoon family and ALL other familys involved can't even grieve over QUINN - who I might add is the one NOT here with us - because you won't let it go. In case you didn't know what the state thinks, it is listed above. Guilty of Murder in the first degree. Punishment, Life in prison. No chance of parole. Seems to me that the policeman did an exceptional job in getting justice served.
Not very smart putting Misty to work in the prison store. Do they not know stealing money was what started her life of crime? Better check under her bed every night for extra cash.
Quinn was and always will be my very best friend! Those 3 innocent children cry for their mother every night because the Witherspoon family is too selfish to get them the counseling they need. Not to mention that they continue to tell the children that their mother did nothing wrong and that their mother will be home soon. Those children should not be taken to see their mother ever and when they get older and they find out the truth, I hope that they don’t. If the Witherspoon family will not tell them the truth then I pray that one day I will have the opportunity too. It is a tragedy that those precious children lost both parents, but especially the one that obviously loved them the most, their dad! I think that every body in the Witherspoon family to include the children needs to seek some psychiatric counseling, but the elder Witherspoons need to have a full psychological evaluation. If you knew Quinn so well as his sister then you would know that Quinn would want justice served and it was served. Misty is in jail and may God be with her if she were ever to get out of jail. She is right where she needs to be where she can focus on the only person that ever mattered to her anyway, herself! She is guilty as charged and she should be thankful that there was no way I could have ever been on the jury or she would have gotten more than life. If it were possible, I would see to it that she got the Death Penalty, but you know what she can suffer and rot in prison for the rest of her sorry, useless, and miserable life. Quinn gave her anything she wanted and all she did was use him for everything he was worth and to her that was nothing. She didn’t work and thank God there are men like Quinn in this world because had she been my wife her butt would have been working the first time she screwed up by embezzling money from the church to pay my 401-k retirement fund back, but then again that would have been in the divorce papers that she would have been served with about a day after the preacher called me about something of that nature. To know Quinn though, he was nothing like that and I am quite sure that thought never entered his mind because he was such a good Christian man. I hope she can find peace with God, I have forgiven her, but I will never forget that she killed my best friend! May God have mercy on the Witherspoon family for enabling a MURDERER, but I pray daily that he will bless and protect those innocent children and that they get the counseling they so desperately need.
