Thank God!!!!!!!!! Justice has prevailed. Nobody I know believed for 1 minute the shooting was accidental. I feel for the children. Misty Witherspoon not only deprived those kids of the only father they had ever known, but thanks to her greed, they now have lost their mother also. Misty Witherspoon is a heartless MONSTER!!
The verdict speaks for itself. Congratulations to the jury for making the right decision in putting that woman away for the rest of her life.

I am so relieved that the cold blooded murderer did not convince the jury of her lies. I don't understand how Quinn's family can support this witch, but at least the majority of us agree that she is guilty. The children will suffer the most from this and the loss of their father. As far as the loss of a mother, they never had one. A mother would not have murdered their father with toddlers in the next room. Misty you absolutely disguist me!!!

Why don't you have your reporter ask tough questions like why the Mooresville Police Chief was hugging Misty after she was interrogated? Or why the police chief was the first person to bring up a failed suicide attempt?
The verdict is only one story. There are plenty of others that aren't being told by your shameless newspaper.
Those poor children!! We need to take the time to pray for them and their future! While Misty is being punished for her acts, those three innocent children are left without a father and a mother. They have a very long road ahead of them and I trust that God has a plan for all of their lives! My heart breaks when I think of how much Quinn loved those children.....you could just see it in his eyes! The sad thing is that the kids may never know the absolute truth as to why their Father was taken from them. And no matter how "evil" Misty is, she is still their Mother and they don't understand her ways.....so to them, their Mother has been taken away for reasons their little minds can't grasp at this point in time.
I too, knew Quinn. I loved him and admired him. I remember how excited I was to tell him I was having twins, and how excited he was for me and my husband when I told him. He was a role model to me as a parent, Christian, and friend. Life isn't fair, God never promised that it would be. But we know we'll have a sweet reunion with Quinn one day in Heaven! May Quinn now rest in peace!

Quinn's family, LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE!!! That doesn't happen very often in North Carolina. Is this enough for you to believe? I think you should finally grieve for what your son has been through, these children have been through the police family has been through, the church family has been through and apoligize to them for turning your backs on them.

I feel the both families as they have both lost their children. One to murder & the other to hell.And now have to watch their grand-
childern suffer even more more due to the lose of their mother. As far as Misty, I knew her as a child and as she becoame Quinn's wife I hate to see what see has become. I hope that the nightmares haunt her for an enternity! She knows the truth and and will know soon enough how hot Hell really is. It is plain as day that the jury has made the right decision. As for Quinn, what a fine young man. I could have only dreamed of having a son-in-law as fine a person as Quinn was. We all carry the Witherspoon family in of hearts.

Wow what a wonderful day this turned out to be! All of us that have supported Quinn through all of this can lay our heads down tonight knowing justice was finally served. The only thing better could have been DEATH! At least with her in there without parole helps out some. Just know that anytime she may have the slightest chance to get out we will ALL sign petitions to keep her behind bars FOREVER!! That is the best place for her and I sure hope those women in jail have fun with her. She thinks she is this big bad person well she will see who is big and bad when she gets to PRISON!! Way to go jury!!
As for the kids, they will forever remain in my prayers. I hate they have lost both parents, but truth be known she was NEVER a mom anyway! Quinn was a great father, but she never treated them babies right. They will forever be protected by their gaurdian angel, their DADDY!! Just know that we will do whatever we have to to help those innocent children out.
As for Quinn his precious soul can finally rest in peace. Quinn we will always love you and we will carry your memory with us forever. So until we meet again just know we all love just as much now as when you were here with us!!

I'm a retired officer and former homicide detective. In over thirty years I don't think I have seen a more cold blooded murder. The facts of the case make it clear at Misty killed her husband in a cool deliberate state of mind. She could have chosen to flee her situation, tell her husband the truth, or just let the cards fall where they may. But she decided to kill Quinn.
Her past actions in stealing from her church and stealing her sister's identity tell me that Misty's only real concern was for herself.
To Quinn's family, I'm sorry for your loss. Everything I've heard tells me that Quinn was a fine man. But it is clear to me that you have been badly fooled by his wife. Her actions that day were no accident. As for the actions of the police, I can tell you from what I have read they did a fine job. Your criticism of the Chief and his investigators is unfounded. In interviewing someone suspected of murder you often have to play the same game as the suspect. These officers did nothing wrong. I am very impressed with the thorough job they did. The truth convicted Misty Witherspoon.
To the officers of the Concord Police Department, you can be glad that justice was done in this case.

No matter what happened some of you people are no better than Misty. She will serve her time on earth and even be judged by God, But the bible says and sin is a sin. You people sound so cold hearted and wishing her to hell. Wether you like to hear it or not, do you really think Quinn would want to look down and see his family being treated bad. They might have been blinded by Misty or just unable to beleive that Quinn was murdered, but they are human and they have family that reads all this crap. Last but not least if Quinn were still here he would be DISGUSTED in his family not the friends, civilians, officers and everyone else that has taken his side. He was a fair man and if he was on this side of things he would be the same we are. You are so right, I am not blood, nor do I have blood on my hands. The family, through their manipulation of the media with Quinn's children and the lies they have told along with Misty has brought about this strong oposition from Quinn's supporters.

I drove by as the killer and her family celebrated her last day out of prison yesterday. They probably had twenty cars in their two yards. Instead of discretely spending time inside their house or in the back yard, they were in the front yard in lawn chairs with the killer out there with them, laughing and carrying on for all of the neighborhood to see. The arrogance of this killer and the complicity of the victim's family is downright sickening. We can simply be thankful that she is off the street. Now perhaps social services can find a proper place for these children because Quinn's family and the killer's family sure are not the ones to raise them.
I am a friend of Quinn's and have been sence we were kids. This man was a true blessing to everyone that surrounded him. I know in the bottom of my heart that this was no accident. From the moment I heard about it and passed by Misty at the funeral home it was all planned. What kind of sick human does this not just to her husband but her kids father? Quinn would never harm a sole nor would his brother Drey that I dearly feel sorry for. Drey lost not only his brother but his best friend. This man is so hurt inside with no where to turn because he knows the truth. To Drey & Quinn you were always known as the Witherspoon boys. You both had a bond that nothing could break. I love you both dearly! Drey, just because you had this person evil person that destroyed your family dosn't mean you lost everything. You hold on to Quinn in your heart where he belongs. God Bless You and Your Family Drey! Quinn you will NEVER be FORGOTTEN.
I can say one thing that I know is true. Quinn would be saddened at the way some of you are behaving.
YES!! LIKE HIS FAMILY!!! A man who fought for justice as a career. Who prayed every night that God would bring him safely back home to his children. And only to be taken out by his spouse. YES he would be upset that his family would be defending something he fought against!!
